About Pubblix

A guide we wish we'd had on day one

Pubblix started because half our friends had moved to the Southeast, fallen for Publix, and quietly accepted a higher grocery bill as the cost of nicer stores. It isn't. We wrote down everything we'd learned about shopping Publix well — and gave it away.

Our story

It started with one receipt

A friend moved to Tampa, did her first big Publix shop, and texted a photo of the total with three crying-laughing emojis.

She wasn't doing anything wrong — she just didn't know the ad reset on Wednesdays, that BOGOs ring up half-price on one item, or that digital coupons stack on top. Once she did, the next receipt was $40 lighter. We realized the only thing standing between a new shopper and real savings was a plain-English explanation. So we built one.

No app to download, no newsletter you have to join to read a tip, no affiliate pressure. Just the guide.

What we stand for

Four rules we don't break

Independent

We're not Publix and we don't take a cent from them. Nobody can pay to be called a "best buy" here. If we're wrong about a deal, the only one we answer to is you.

Plain-English

No extreme-couponing spreadsheets, no jargon. If your aunt couldn't follow it in one read, we rewrite it. Saving money at the store shouldn't feel like a part-time job.

Always free

No paywall, no "premium tips" locked behind an email. The guide is free because the savings should go in your pocket, not ours.

Kept current

Publix changes its programs and ad cycle from time to time. When it does, we re-check and update — and we tell you to confirm details in-store, because we'd rather be honest than out of date.
